Andes Manta performs the vibrant music of the Andes on more than 35 traditional instruments. From the lyrical sound of the quena or Andean Flute, to the haunting tones of the six foot long pan-pipes, the music of Andes Manta is an experience that never fails to bring audiences to their feet

Chinese influences with Western jazz/pop; Asian fusion jazz/world
Stephanie Chou blends influences from her Chinese heritage with jazz/pop. Her band has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Joe’s Pub, and in festivals worldwide. They combine sax/vocals in Mandarin/English with Chinese violin and a rhythm section. An Irvington native, her album Asymptote focused on jazz reinventions of Chinese folk songs.

World music featuring the Native American style/world flutes, guitar and percussion with cross-cultural influences
Heartwood is a world music ensemble influenced by many cultures. Our original songs combine the hauntingly beautiful and beguiling melodies of Native American-style and other world flutes with didgeridoo, guitar, ukulele, and other world percussion, including African drums, tubanos, handpans, dulcimer and frame drums.
