Avalanche at Dawn plays tuneful original songs with tasty harmonies and infectious beats. Their latest album Daylight has been featured on WFUV radio, and they perform in venues around Westchester County–such as RiverArts, New Rochelle ArtsFest, the Common Ground Coffeehouse and the New Rochelle Jazz Festival.

Bachtopus is an accordion ensemble from New York City that performs music by contemporary composers and Johann Sebastian Bach. The group has become one of the few accordion ensembles in the United States that focuses on new music. Having established a large repertoire in just a few years, Bachtopus seeks to play more original compositions, commissioned works, and contemporary music that is interesting, accessible, and grounded in traditional folk music.

James G Barry is based in Brooklyn NY. Over the lockdown James and his band mate David B Wilson started writing and releasing music based on jams they were having while playing in public parks. “Scrantonia” is an epic polka-rock-jam-opus followed by “14.7lbf/sqin” that celebrates the bitter sweet feeling of getting to play again after the lockdown. They throw covers into the mix that range from Morphine to Johnny Cash to The Dead Kennedys.

Bash the Trash (BTT) brings a musical message of science and sustainability with weird and wonderful instruments created from trash. Grammy-nominated BTT is the brainchild of long-time Hastings residents John Bertles and Carina Piaggio. This year we present “BTT Undrummed”, a dubious selection of tunes from the Bash the Trash Songbook, played super-informally bluegrass-style by an all-Hastings crew on our tiny front porch.

In recent years he has toured and opened shows for M.Ward, Rhett Miller, and Violent Femmes and his songs have been featured in movies and on the CBS shows Instinct and NCIS:Los Angeles.

Casey Cichowicz, recording and performing as Caseyland, is currently performing solo, using an array of synths, effects, drum machines, and live guitar and bass. Using live looping and sequencing techniques, his solo show is both intimately performed and grandly orchestrated.

Chinese influences with Western jazz/pop; Asian fusion jazz/world
Stephanie Chou blends influences from her Chinese heritage with jazz/pop. Her band has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Joe’s Pub, and in festivals worldwide. They combine sax/vocals in Mandarin/English with Chinese violin and a rhythm section. An Irvington native, her album Asymptote focused on jazz reinventions of Chinese folk songs.

Dead End Beverly is the unique musical duo of Angela Devine and Daniel Rayner. They perform both original compositions as well as covers in a variety of musical styles that include folk, blues, American jazz standards and traditional music. Together, they have been performing for audiences throughout the Hudson Valley since 2015 and have been featured artists on NY Talent Radio, WVKR and the WPWL radio program Local Heroes.

Dog Years plays classic rock that you would not be surprised to find on Q104’s playlist today or in the future. Featuring covers of songs from the 1960s to the 2000s, Dog Years has rocked audiences at venues ranging from clubs to outdoor events. Dog Years prides itself on its song selection: You will know and love the songs, but you might be a bit surprised by some of them.

Emy and the Epix is a swing blues, rockabilly band with a touch of jazz, fronted by the sensational singer, Emy B (Finalist at the legendary Amateur Night at the Apollo). They play the music of artists like Ruth Brown, Wanda Jackson, LaVern Baker, Etta James, and Janis Martin just to name a few. There might even be an Elvis tune in there. When the time is right, the band lowers the temperature with cool jazz à la Peggy Lee or Billie Holiday before going back to rocking the house

Jon Hatch is a New York musician, songwriter, performer and composer currently focusing on electronic music featuring modular synthesis. Jon’s music ranges from ambient drones to more aggressive fuzzed out and mangled bass lines. Always keeping an eye on melody and composition, Jon uses a modular synthesizer to write and perform his music.

Heartwood is a world music ensemble influenced by many cultures. Our original songs combine the hauntingly beautiful and beguiling melodies of Native American-style and other world flutes with didgeridoo, guitar, ukulele, and other world percussion, including African drums, tubanos, handpans, dulcimer and frame drums.

The gifted musicians of the Irvington Presbyterian Church will present a program of mostly classical works, including vocal chamber music and solos, flute quartets, and stirring performances on the church’s magnificent Klais organ. 3D Immersive Electronic Textural Experimental Sonic Journey
Steve’s TV music credits include original songs and scores for 350 TV episodes for many award-winning children productions including PBS’s acclaimed, Reading Rainbow, for which he composed the iconic “Butterfly in the Sky” theme song. As a sound artist his immersive, surround performances have entranced audiences from San Francisco to Berlin. His music with its glistening harmonies, evolving textures and echoing rhythms is influenced by waves, eddies, spirals, harmonigraphics and Fibonacci ratios. It swirls around and through the audience involving them in a 3D sonic journey. For the Music Tour he’ll be performing Open to the Sea, a work in progress celebrating the Hudson River

The members of Intuition Quartet have been playing and evolving together for more than 10 years.
